Battle For the Soul of Man

Battle For the Soul of Man

The greatest battle being waged is that for your soul. Did you know that? Nothing compares to the soul of man.

The bible says in Matthew 16 vs. 26:

“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Your soul is not saved by accumulating great wealth of endless possessions. Jesus died on the cross of Calvary for your soul and is interceding every second for it. The soul of man is the breath of God in man, it is the God-likeness in man, it has been purchased by the blood of Christ and there is nothing that can be given in exchange for it.

We spend so much time seeing to our financial and physical well-being, but what amount of time do we give to our soul. One becomes a fool in the eyes of God when we place greater importance on the pursuit of wealth, riches or status over safeguarding one’s soul.

Luke 12 vs. 16 – 20:

“And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

Know this, the soul that sins, dies and true prosperity, in every sense of that word, starts with the soul.

3 John 1 vs. 2 reads:

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
