Bishop N.E. Moses, Called Home to Glory
by OCWO Online
Official statement on the passing away of our founder, Bishop N.E. Moses:
It is with profound sadness that the Moses family announces the passing to glory of our father and the founder and presiding Bishop of the Overcomers Church World Outreach, Bishop N.E. Moses.
On Friday morning, December 20, 2019, Bishop Moses, 69, went Home to be with the LORD God, his Maker. As many of you know, he had been in the hospital for weeks following complications from a surgical procedure.
To the Overcomers Church family and all our friends in ministry who prayed valiantly for his healing and restoration, we thank you. You might be feeling defeated and filled with many questions, but we know that even in this, our God remains victorious and He is still on the throne. He still in control and still working all things together for our good. Our God is loving and He is sovereign and He alone has the final say, and it pleased Him to call His servant Home now.
We find solace in the knowledge that our father, who for over 50 years followed God with a single-minded focus, wholehearted dedication and poured out his life in service to the Body of Christ, has now joined the great cloud of witnesses, rejoicing in the arms of his heavenly Father, and worshipping alongside with the angels.
While he was on earth on the LORD’s mission, Bishop N.E. Moses preached with passion and insight, he prophesied as the LORD commanded him, and with great patience and humility, he taught the word of God and the ways of God. And he did it all with a dazzling Overcomers smile.
He was, without question, the best father to his four children. He supported, encouraged, and loved us fiercely. Above all, he planted in each of us the seed of faith in Christ Jesus and taught us to follow the LORD God. He was a wonderful, steadfast and loving husband to his wife, his ‘Amama One’, his best friend and partner in ministry, Rev. Virginia Moses. He was a loyal son, a faithful brother, and a great pillar of his family and community.
We are heartbroken by this loss, but we encourage ourselves in the word of God. We know that the LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalms 34:18).
We know that not only does the LORD console us, but He also gives us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3).
And finally, brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)
Overcomers, friends and family in Christ, be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might. Never forget what our father boldly confessed every time he delivered a sermon:
We are descendants of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, therefore we have overcome. We have overcome principalities and powers, spiritual wickedness in high places, rulers of the darkness of this world. FOR REAL! We have overcome; by the power that is in the name of Jesus Christ and the word of our testimony that Jesus Christ is the LORD!
The family of Bishop N.E. Moses is deeply grateful to all of you for your prayers, your love and your support. All further arrangements will be communicated in due time. If you would like to visit with the family, kindly contact the Overcomers Church office first before making any plans.
Thank you all.
The Moses Family.
